I would like advice regarding moving from Maryland to the Triangle area.
I am newly single, and just a few years away from retirement. I have done some research, and have heard good things about the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill part of NC.
I would prefer to live in a condo, as I'm not very interested in the maintenance of keeping a large house or grounds - though I do enjoy gardening quite a bit.
Part-time employment would suite me fine.
I understand Raleigh has a higher cost of living, so perhaps this city might not be my first choice.
I'm a home-body, so nightlife is not high as a priority either.
Would be interested in learning about nice parts of town. This spring or summer I hope to visit to get a feel for the area and would welcome any opinions about good, affordable neighborhoods in a town that has decent employment opportunities.
I would greatly appreciate any insight from those whom are familiar.
