When I moved I used Holloway Movers and thought that they were great. http://www.hollowaymoving.com/

You might also want to look into Trosa Movers too, if you are interested in giving back to the community.

Movin' On Movers in Apex did a good job for us. We have also used Two Men and a Truck, thought not locally.

I used A1Pack and Load. Found them on Craigslist. Very good rates.

May I ask what some typical rates would be? I have no clue how much an intercity move costs. I completely understand that the distance & actual amount of stuff would influence the price. Examples including sq ft & distance would be appreciated.

Triangle Movers and Shakers, hands down BEST!

They are a small, family owned company and go above and beyond to make you happy and do it right. We have used them 3 times, and I always recommend them to anyone. Check them out...

Their website is not the best but, that's not what they do.
