Well i am looking to move to the greensboro,winston-salem or the raleigh, durham area and i need help finding a place to move to, im looking in the 650ish per month range and the place has to be pet friendly to large dogs(great pyrenees) and im not having much luck here, i would love to be in a nice quiet area, i do not wish to be living beside a bunch of young noisy people or any crime. i hope someone can suggest any places to look at, also the max on rent i can go is 725 but i want to try and keep it cheaper. any suggestions are welcome.

Craigslist. Go to apts/house for rent. Check the Dogs Okay box and start sorting through the listings..
I did a quick search. Several possibilities in Greensboro and Winston-Salem and was surprised to find a house in Raleigh described as being in a "good and nice" neighborhood for $550. Stunned really.
When we were looking for a decent place to live three years ago, we couldn't find anything for much under $900 and rents have gone up since then.
Typically, the advice on such threads encourages folks to find a job first and then a place to live nearby. As you did not mention job, I assume you have a steady source of income.
If this assumption is correct, you may want to search in outlying areas where rents are typically cheaper in quiet, safe neighborhoods.
Location: Sodo Sopa at The Villas above Kenny' s House.

Good luck.
99% positive if you saw a house for $550 its a scam. I just recently moved and if you want a decent place for a house expect 1k and for an apartment at least $800. You may find a one bedroom for a little less but I promise you if its in the $600 range its going to be a dump. This is for Raleigh area.
Brookefield for less than 700 (I did), on Falls of Neuse between Durant Road and 540. I had to find someplace safe and quiet (this place is quiet-ish). I am surrounded by humans though, who make noise just naturally and I do miss the woods and isolation, but it is doable and the most adequate I found in this area in long time searching. I feel like a prisoner living near so many... people. I see a parking lot instead of tree. Bla! But, it is 90% quiet. Until the day comes I find a home again...
