Just curious if there is a significant group of folks who have Corvettes around the Clayton area. Are there any special Vette specific events/shows through the year in the area. Also, need to know where the best places are for servicing, tire installations and custom installations/performance enhancements where the shops would be familiar with vettes or specialize in them (as well as being reputable of course).

I have a 2004 ZO6 and most likely will be moving down to Clayton within the next several weeks and will need new set of tires right away.

Thanks in Advance, any help would be appreciated !

I should add that I do have an extended GM warranty, so in terms of service issues, would prefer an authorized Chevrolet dealer neaby that folks might be familiar with that has excellent service and that sells and services a good number of Vettes normally ... Thanks again

Hubby bought his from Hendrick Chevrolet in Cary/Apex area. They do his servicing. There does seem to be some events, etc. but I'll have to check with him to find out more. I'm only allowed to drive it 1 day a week!!! And it can't be a rainy day!

Thanks Vicki ... That sounds about right for most Vette owners when it comes to rain ... lol ... actually, my wife is afraid to drive mine as she is paranoid about driving anything as expensive as it was that isn't hers. It's actually my only car, so its my daily driver, so I cant keep it out of the rain unfortunately but I have no choice but to keep it out of snow up here in the northeast (glad to be moving down in terms of the weather )

Just do like I did. . . . .let someone else buy one, wait 2 or 3 years for them to get tired of it, and then buy it used at 40%-50% off the original sticker. That's the only way I could afford my "dream" car.

Hi Vicki,

More we have in common. Don't tell hubby or my wife.

I had a 64 Sting Ray in NYC. Drove it to CA in 1969 and traded it for a used Calif Highway Patrol interceptor.

Was a messed up theft recovery car but sure won points with the ladies.

Hope you can keep your license with a Vette.

There are some local classic vette clubs, but not sure about newer vettes. I had a beautiful 69 until last year (sold it...too nice to really enjoy. 2 time concourse show winner black/black 52k original miles). Are you a member at corvetteforum.com? alot of good info there.
After I get settled in my new house I plan on getting another 68-72. I have a wicked 350 sitting around waiting for the right car
In the spring and summer there are cruise-ins at char-grill, grill '57, and other spots every weekend. We also have lots of car shows throughout the season.
The new Z06 is insane! I met a local with a 2006 z06 and we traded cars and went cruising one afternoon...I want one!

here was mine....I miss that car!!!!

I was a complete mess working graveyard in a Shell station that was run like Fonzi's in Happy Days.

So much fun I stayed 2 more years after completing my BBA at Hofstra.
