It's been that way since the days of Adam and Eve, it will always be that way sadly. Some people just don't care...

I have not posted since last October. The forum seems to have a core of 6-8 posters.
The Confederate flag is an easy target. There is a flag that has flown over more evil, death , destruction and injustice than the Confederate flag. Know any Native Americans? Trail of Tears?

I've made the same point numerous times, but it gets no acknowledgement or consideration. Apparently context is not appreciated by most people.

I've also made the point that the flag is a minuscule part of the problems, but as you say, it's an easy target. Far easier to focus on it than focus on the more substantive issues.

Here's the important distinction:

The American Flag is still the flag of this country.

None of the flags used by the failed Confederacy is the flag of any nation.

Ergo, it doesn't need to be flown by any branch of any state or federal government.

It is clear to me that it is the purpose of certain media outlets to divide and aggravate the public. With all the inflammatory stories for the past couple years it was only a matter of time before something like what happened in SC occurred. 95% of people take the bait...

LOL, thats very humorous. I haven't ever heard that "rule" before...its quite the red herring.

Btw, the poster you replied to never suggested a confederate flag should be flown by any branch of state or federal government, he only pointed out an obvious point that you and so many others seem unable or unwilling to acknowledge.

Oh, by the way, there is a flag of a defunct nation flying over virtually every government building in Texas.
