Pollen on my car this morning. So much for open windows during this beautiful weather. I've got pine trees right next to my house.

WHAAAAAA

I noticed the patio furniture on screened porch had a dusting of pollen yesterday - made me sneeze wiping it clean so I guess a few weeks of sneezing

I've been sneezing a lot too and have just started seeing the "green stuff" on my car this week. We just added a new screened porch and I covered my new furniture on Tuesday!! Seems like it was just in time!

Yup noticed it yesterday too. You can see yellow specks on a lot of pines now. Its really cool to watch on windy days when you can see clouds of pollen just flying off of the trees when the wind blows.

Back in California I had **16** pine trees next to my house. So I sympathize but I'm also making fun of you at the same time for being a big baby. LOL

Thanks for the report. I'm on my way down there in a couple of weeks and was wondering if I needed to drag a case a Claritin along with me... it would appear so.

Hehe. We are next to a "buffer zone" of pines, so multiply that 16 by ten

It's just awful for pine pollen season, but it's very pretty the rest of the year so we don't whine...too much.

Yep, I noticed it for the first time today.

We just covered our porch last weekend. Told my mom that we had to have it done before April 1.

Medical people and articles say that pine pollen is not allergenic. The grains are too big. They might make your eyes itch just like other particulates might, but allergy meds won't do anything re pine pollen. If allergy meds work for you at this time it means you are allergic to some other plant that is coincidentally releasing pollen (there are several other flowering plants, trees and grasses now). But the pines themselves are innocent (except for the mess!).

Prepared by the committee of one to protect the reputation of the noble pinetree.
