How do I say this? I appreciate your enthusiasm but I hope you will continue to be careful.

Chance of 30 to 40 mph wind gusts going forward today. The fat lady hasn't sung.

Yeah I'm not going anywhere today. I'll go out but I'm not driving this weekend. Think I pushed it enough by going to work yesterday and then to the hockey game.

Roads are OK, main roads clear, side roads slushy which will re-freeze tonight.

Sidewalks are bad.

Are Bradford Pear trees weak? A few of them in this gallery that split right down the middle from the weight of the ice!

[soapbox]

I spent an hour or so this morning chipping away the ice on our cars, went out out to run an errand only to see one inch sheets of ice flying off the tops of other people's cars.

Not only is the really lazy, but it's really dangerous - ice that thick can shatter a windshield no problem.

Start your car, let it sit for 30 minutes or so, and the ice should slide right off. If you can't reach the top of your car, maybe you need a smaller car :P

[/soapbox]

I can tell you that 54 has not been plowed, at least between 751 and Fayetteville Rd in Durham. I have to work tomorrow at 7 AM. Won't be a fun trip.

Yes, Bradford Pears are notoriously weak and short-lived. One of the most popular undesirable trees out there for residential landscaping.

Oh, that will just blow everything to my neighbor's yard, right?

That is one of my biggest pet peeves. And lazy as hell.
