[I know this is beating a dead horse and I'm in the minority here, but this is a huugggee pet peeve of mine]
I wonder why they'd rank our airport as a "best place to live". I've lived here all my life and that's the only place actually called "Raleigh-Durham" so regardless of the amount of detail and work that went into this project, they might want to bone up on geography a bit.

To be fair, they also say Minneapolis-St. Paul without referring to the airport.
Same with Dallas-Fort Worth, and unlike here and Minnesota, those two cities don't even share a geographical border.

It doesn't have to be referred to as the Triangle every single time.
I too was impressed with the amount of detail in the report of the metros/cities. Interestingly enough, the report's population data wasn't pulled from the Raleigh/Cary MSA, the Durham/Chapel Hill or the Raleigh/Durham CSA. The reported population of 1,714,629 isn't aligned with any one Census data point or current combination thereof. It might be the sum of both MSA's population at some point in the past? From the 2104 data, the sum of the two metros was 1,785,684. The CSA (which includes a few more counties) was nearing 2.1 million in 2014.
