good afternoon, moved to area and would like to buy good sofa and chairs made in America. I am not looking for the top of the line, just something that will last ten years.

People have recommended Coopers to me but I have yet to go there.
Green Front interiors is another option.

It is my understanding that it is still possible to find upholstered items made here (some in NC).
My couch is from Crate and Barrel but is made by one of the better furniture companies here in NC.
When it comes to tables, dressers and the like, almost nothing is made here in the US anymore.

Shop Klaussner online.
Find a merchant with lowest delivered price.
Add items to shopping cart.
Print that page.
Bring it in to Raleigh store for a price match!

Amish furniture immediately comes to mind. While I'm not familiar with a local seller, there does seem to be Amish furniture stores in NC. Hickory is not that far.

Also, a quick web search found a store in Raleigh called Wood Quarters that shows wood furniture made in the US

Cooper's in Cary is good. Also, Dexter Furniture on Glenwood is custom built in NC and reasonably priced (especially when compared to places like Bassett Furniture.)

We recently moved and were in need of new furniture. We looked at a bunch of different places. We found some great finds at Furnish This in Durham on Hillsborough Road. Quality furniture at a discount. We also purchased a couch and loveseat from Riverview galleries in North Durham. I also agree about Cooper's furniture - ended up getting a swivel chair from there. I think better prices and quality than the big box stores. Good luck!

Check out Green Front on Capital. Not all made in the USA but some is. Can be hit or miss on prices but huuuuuge selection. Fun place to shop!

Also I think Green Chair's quarterly sale is coming soon if you're open to used furniture. Most of it tends to be in great shape too!
