Hi all, can you guys recommend neighborhoods in Cary/Apex/Holly Springs/Wake Forest that would have these criteria that we are looking for?
- good schools
- decent amount of diversity in neighborhood and also schools (I am Chinese and my husband is White)
- family friendly with young kids (my daughter will be turning 1 in 3 months)
- houses that are built in the 90s (more space between neighbors and with at least 0.25ac lots
- houses not more than 400K
- more established neighborhoods with bigger trees

Thanks!!!

honestly, you've asked for the exact same things that 90% of folks have asked before you. There are numerous threads that you can read up on.

we could name 100's of neighborhoods

We don't know where you're moving from/what your current experience is, and what you like there or don't.
we don't know the "why" (usually a job, with a location)
you've asked about locations that stretch about an hour from one end to the other ... but didn't include Raleigh for some reason

The issue with schools in your neighborhood may not matter since students get reassigned on a regular basis. The issue with neighborhoods is you live close to only a few and you are in a lottery, as it were. You can end up with nice ones or crappy ones. If we were moving into one of the towns you mention I would be more concerned with access to shopping and major roads and take my chances on the neighborhood.

That's a little bit of an exaggeration.

That's not true at all, and is a gross oversimplification of the reassignments that DO happen.

OP, there are too many neighborhoods that could meet your criteria. You'll need to narrow it down to a specific town.
