They are simply too expensive. It's definitely NOT under $10. My son loves it, but I only take him may be once a year. The buffet is about $14 per person and a drink is not included. For $30+ dollars for 2 people I can choose much better.

I must confess that occasionally Golden Corral take out is my
solution when I am craving southern country style veggies like
black eyed peas, cooked greens and cooked cabbage.

I don't know many other places that have southern-country style veggies.

There is a K&W/D&S/SomeLetter&SomeLetter cafeteria in the back of the shopping center on New Bern Avenue, just off the Beltline.

K&W in Cameron Village has the best fried chicken and their country style steak isn't too bad either! Their desserts are made there and absolutely yummy and some of the pies you can purchase for $14 for the whole pie!

Speaking of yucky places to eat...hubby talked me into going to the Chili's at Brier Creek last night. We called ahead but when we got there, our name was no where to be found. After a 30 minute wait (which didn't help my attitude), we were seated. Food was mediocre. Service wasn't great. Floors were filthy. Place didn't smell clean. Only thing that improved my attitude just a bit was the Molten Cake I shared with my grandson!

So...Chili's is on my "no go to" list along with Golden Corral and Red Lobster.

I'm finding that as I get older, I get a bit more picky and less interested in the chains! Today we went to Jason's Deli for a corned beef sandwich. Sandwich was good but they left off my side of mustard and my side of dip for the fruit. Had to go back for that. I was annoyed when the lady cleaning off the tables near us parked her huge dirty dish cart right beside me. Really made me gag to smell it and the look of plates with food left on them all tossed into the cart was not appealing. I considered talking to the manager but after all that, I felt like I needed to go home and chill out!
