12 Oaks is a lovely community and i know personally of two over 50 couples with no children who live there and love it. (I live in Holly Springs and LOVE my small town so I'm a bit biased )

I live in 12 Oaks. Its a great community with wonderful amenities. We have two pools, and one seems to attract more families with children. So if you want a quite day at the pool, you may have to check on any given day.

If you can swing it, Prestonwood is probably one of the nicest clubs around. Beautiful grounds, activities for all, and centrally located.

In general Holly Springs is not where I would want to be an empty nester. It's tons of young families and in my neighborhood a good amount of the empty nesters have sold and left for other areas.

Sorry for digging up an old thread - I'm a local considering moving out of the Crossroads area and out to Holly Springs, and I'm interested in 12 Oaks, but my upper limit is probably 300K - does anyone know if the future development might have smaller cottages for folks who don't need big houses? I may not make their cut!

I'm going to guess no since this area is so hot. I'm not sure you can even find a town home for 300k.

The last couple of townhomes in 12 Oaks sold for around $300,000 and they are going up as each one sells (low inventory does this).

The lowest priced home that recently sold in 12 Oaks was in the $380,000s.

I'd take your price range and search for some of the communities with pool, clubhouse, etc.

I have clients that live in Highland Creek and Wakefield, Heritage and Traditions that have the amenities you want and you may still be able to stay under $300,000 or right around that amount.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm really looking for more of a social community, so I'm not stuck on 12 oaks - just know some people (wealthier than I am!) in that area.
