It appears that the old Gander Mountain space at Park West Village in Morrisville has been subdivided (as R16A-C per below) and a Michaels is slated for the second largest division of the space:
The largest space has a lease pending and the smaller of the three spaces is still available:
Space is currently being renovated to support the subdivision, but essentially in the below image the center entrance is the old Gander Mountain entrance without the "tented" roof above it. The new Michaels entrance is on the far right and the pending leased space is on the far left:
I’m definitely in favor of this. I knew the Gander MTN space was going to multiple tenants, but didn’t realize it was going to be a Michaels and another similar sized tenant, l,usmjust one shop in between. Makes total sense given the layout though.
Also, I’m so happy they are getting rid of the old lodge look. I hate places that are too cheap to remove stuff like that like Kite Realty with the Hobby Lobby over at Parkside Town Commons with the orange sign on woodtimbers and green roofing. Come to think of it, that’s a good thing to post people tomwhen they say Cary is too controlling about looks.
I wonder if the unknown leased space is going to be a Stein Mart. There used to be one right across the street in the Park Place shopping center by the Carmike.
Do you think this Michael's is in addition to the one at Crossroads or will the one at Crossroads close once this one is open?
I love a craft store, but it's a big store with lots and lots of inventory that doesn't cost much. Add in the 40% and up coupons every week, they must live on a thin profit margin.
