Good morning! I was heading back from the beach on 40 last night and noticed that at the 40/95 intersection there was an orange "Detour" sign alerting drivers to use 95 to get to Durham.
What is the actual detour? I'm looking at a map and I can't figure this one out.
It's to avoid the 'fortify' work zone in Raleigh. It's an extra 50 miles (40-540-264-95) instead of going through the work zone.
