Talk on the radio is that every school district in the State will be represented. That could mean 10,000 people showing up in downtown Raleigh trying to get in a building that holds less that 1,000. The original permit was for 300 people. Who is going to feed them? Starbucks has agreed to open their bathrooms, I've heard, but REALLY?
And if they come by bus they will need space for about 300 buses??? Riders will be getting themselves all worked up and cheering on the way into town. What do you think will happen when the first bus gets pulled over by SHP and the riders jump out and start walking into downtown, SCREAMING AND YELLING AND WAVING BANNERS?
I'm staying out in the suburbs and will watch on CNN. This could be a serious horror show involving mass rioting, fire, and death and destruction. Any teacher with a brain will stay away. Please?

I've been to rallies in Raleigh with far more than 10k people. Completely peaceful.

What?
Tell us about the teachers you know and how this fits into their personas.
My problem is with the NCAE's spin on this.....all the schools are closing so we're getting far more participation than we anticipated. Um, no, you encouraged your members to ask for annual leave so that there would not be enough subs, which is exactly how this panned out, so the schools had no choice but to close.
Unbelievable is ranting about “union thugs” in a Right to Work state. Is he that misinformed, or being deliberately misleading?
