Training camp in September will be interesting.
Not always, but some of the core of the current Tampa Bay Lightning were part of their AHL team in 2012 that won the Calder, 3 seasons later the Lightning made it to the Cup Finals.

It certainly isn't a bad thing having these guys get some winning playoff hockey under their belts, it's also awesome for the growth of the game in the State.

So....
Jeff Skinner gets 8 years @ $9 million.

Is Sebastian Aho worth Skinner money?

He is, and perhaps he's worth a little more. I think the Skinner deal sets a floor for what Aho gets.

$9 million for Skinner will shake loose a lot of UFAs on capped teams.

As I heard it yesterday...

Skinner will collect $9 million when he is 37.
And, probably well over the hill.

Aho, at $10 million/year should be a comparable bargain in 8 years at age 30.

Mike Bales resigned this morning.

Wonder what he’s thinking.

Perhaps there is dissent over what's about to ensue with McElhinney, Mrazek, and Nedeljkovic.

Apparently, according to Elliotte Friedman, Mike Bales is headed to Buffalo.
