Which would explain why I didn't hear about it. I don't know anyone assigned to WF Elementary, Middle or HS.

If I were to do it over again, I would live in eastern Cary ( I live in Western Cary now), and I'd find the absolute largest subdivision I could find. Unfortunately in that area of town you sacrifice the easy commute to RTP, I'd that's where you work. Easier commute to DT Raleigh though.

They target small neighborhoods for reassignment because it's an easy breakoff point, and ALL the schools in these high growth areas are so overcrowded that there just isn't room to move large amounts of kids. I think they're also afraid to move larger amounts of kids because in reality they really don't have a grasp on the growth and where it's actually going to happen. They use heat maps that from what I understand are completely inaccurate. They're developed by NC State or soemthing. Again it's a problem with the county based system - they don't collaborate with the towns and cities as much as they could/should, and vice versa.
