I'm wondering where to get TP too. We are down to 2 rolls. I have gone to Big Lots in Raleigh and South Durham, Food Lion in South Durham and 2 Food Lions in Raleigh, 2 Dollar Generals, Walmart, Wegmans, Harris Teeter, Lidl and Supermercado in Capital, all were out of TP and meat. Getting dire here. I'll check Office Depot and Staples although I expect they'll be out as well.
Same lol. Then I wondered why she tasted it, and it clicked that it was about cough syrup haha.
LOL! My mom said the Food Lion in Benson near my grandparents' house had plenty of everything while other stores were running out of everything. That was last Saturday though. Might be worth a try for those who live closer to that area. I'm not ready to drive that far just yet.
Has anyone found eggs? Why are people hoarding eggs? You can't freeze them.
People are buying lots of eggs because suddenly their whole family will be home every day and is going to have to eat breakfast at home every single day. I know that's why I wanted to buy a pack of eggs yesterday. I've never frozen them, I just want to have eggs as a breakfast option. They last a long time in the fridge. You know people are desperate when even the $6/dozen eggs are sold out.
Once people settle in to this current reality, stuff like egg and toilet paper availability should even out again. In the meantime, if you need toilet paper right now, check the places that aren't traditional supermarkets like office supply stores, pharmacies, home improvement stores, and global food markets.
You know not everyone is "hoarding". I now have three kids who are home all day every day. I need more food and everything else than usual. I had gotten stuff for my son when he was home for spring break and now he's home from college for the year two months earllier than expected. Let's all try to understand that everyone's circumstances are different. You can use eggs to make a lot of stuff.
