University of Mississippi and U. SoCal are apparently having large outbreaks that have tied back to frat row parties.

And the video from a party last night at U of Nor GA looks like it will be another one

Yup. "I want to party all the time, party all the time...." The houses are off campus, though, and most classes are remote so I guess we'll see how much of a threat the off - campus housing poses.

I think they very well may shut UNC down. The faculty chair has already pleaded with the board of governors to allow the chancellor to make the call, and there's another faculty meeting tomorrow.

Sadly, even if they move to all online classes and send kids that are on campus home, the kids off campus are all moved into their apartments and frat houses now and likely will stay for more merriment.

I just saw that in the article, should have led with the fact that it was 10 the week of 8/3 and follow up with whatever the new weekly total is when it comes back. Cases from February (when that counter starts) aren't relevant.

This I'm sure should be taken with a grain of salt, but judging just by this AMA, it doesn't sound like UNC is handling the situation all that well:

Did you see the story on WRAL about the woman who had to clean that disgusting mess when she moved her son in? And UNC was like "well we have a lot to clean"....you have no more rooms to clean than usual, you had no summer camps, and the campus has been empty since March. Looked to me like squatters moved in over the summer and no one in the People's Republic of Chapel Hill kicked them out. College kids who got checked out by an RA didn't leave that mess.

Maybe it’s a thing. 2020 and all.
