Same here. We have a transfer switch, so will plug the geney into the side of the house and power the fridge, freezer, microwave, lights, tv, router, as needed. Hoping we Don't need it, but would love some rain out of the deal.
The tropical storm warnings don't extend to Durham. While I am a little concerned about a tree coming down (mainly because the ground is pretty saturated already) or the power going out, I'm not that concerned about this one.
I don't think this is a non-event for us but it does appear the worst of it will stay to our east. Raleigh is still forecast to get up to 5 inches of rain and gusts up to 55 MPH which is not insignificant.
Some leaves scattered in the yard, but overall no flooding and it didn’t even wash out my pinestraw or mulch like the heavy rain did a week ago. Non-event here it appears.
Non-event here as well. Nothing down in yard, no evidence of flooding, and power didn’t even flicker (almost unheard of in my neighborhood during these events). I am thankful.
Woke up on the sofa in the middle of the night and saw that it was really picking up outside, really windy, trees swaying, and very rainy. Woke up this morning and all is well. Sunny, no damage, and the best part, no power outage! Wegman's splurges in the fridge are safe and sound.

Ha! Better safe than sorry. I told my daughter this morning “I hope you feel like lots of canned soup this week.”
