That's what they said on the news. I'm curious if since it's going to change to rain if it'll just melt and wash away.
I hope so. Lived through the ice storm on LI in 1978 and I hope to never repeat that experience. Miserable, although repair capabilities have probably (hopefully) come a long way since then.
We lose power here all.the.time. I'm actually shocked that when Green Hope lost power last week, we didn't - some in my neighborhood did, but not us. The upside is they usually want to get the school back on as quick as they can.
So what's the scoop with this storm? Will the rain melt all .3 inches of ice we're supposed to get?
Also the nights following are supposed to be in the 20's.
How many loaves of bread should I buy??? Milk??? Gas????
Got all three today but because I needed them. Had to get a half gallon of milk as quarts were sold out. If you need milk I'll leave it on the corner of High House and 55 for you LOL.

We have a gallon which should last us about 2 days
Remember the 2002 Ice Storm? Raleigh got 1 inch of freezing rain. The worst ice storm in over 50 years. No power it seemed like forever with sub freezing temperatures night and day. Lots of people fled to areas that had electricity, but we stuck it out at home.

Went out and food shopped right after reading this. Not quite what I used to do on a Friday night....
Don't forget the TP. One should have a buggy or two full of Charmin!
