Another vote for Boulted Bread. Their breads and croissants are the real deal.

Lucette Grace or Hereghty's (they're often overlooked) for desserts.

Juballa or Black & White for coffee.

Idle Hour has a great selection of desserts and coffee. They also sell Tepuy Doughnuts, which are some of the best in Raleigh right now. I'm also a big fan of Burney's, Union Special, and Boulted Bakery.

+1 Sola, NoRa, Hereghty's... and Escazu if you're into serious chocolate, although they're not really a bakery.

agreed with Escazu, skip Videri - tons of hype around Videri but Escazu is the best chocolate place around here.

La Farm, Chanticleer, Fount. We're relatively new here, so I'm following this thread to discover new places to try!

Default Crema Coffee Roasters and Bakery in Cary

Located in Cornerstone (think HMart and Doherty’s). The coffee shop is next door to Doherty’s on the ‘side’ of the shopping center.

I love that they have red bean buns there and bubble tea as well.

(If you've never had chinese breads, go to Grand Asia Market and go get yourself a "pineapple" bun, char siu bao, coconut bun or hot dog bun)
