With the way McCrimmon and Morrisville Carpenter/CFS are kind of pinching together as you head west, it wouldn't surprise me if they don't end up putting Airport all the way through to 55 and involve another railroad crossing.
Maybe angle it north and tie it into McCrimmon east of 55 and the tracks? A connection like that wasn't envisioned in ToC's conceptual plan for closing that gap in McCrimmon a few years ago, but I kind of like the idea.
The design seems perfect for Carpenter Village residents. They get a way right to the RDU airport in front of their houses.
Airport would not go through Carpenter Village, it would end up going through Savaan, wouldn't it? Carpenter Village already has direct access to the airport by Morrisville Carpenter/Aviation.
The mistake was mine. I've lived here since 1986 and still can't keep Aviation and Airport straight. I wonder how many thousands of other people cannot keep them straight, either. What I meant to say is that I do believe Airport will eventually cut through to 55.
^^ I'm talking about the part of the Blvd starting from west of Garden Square Lane, across Davis Dr., and going into Carpenter village area. According to Google map, it ends at Hamilton Hedge PI. It hasn't reached Louis Stephen yet.
We all have maps and can see the road and where it will go. It is planned and will connect eventually. It will take additional development and/or state and local projects in more than one municipality to be competed but it will eventually go from the airport to for sure to Louis Stevens and probably 55 one day. In fact, I'm pretty sure Cary has plans to straighten the kink in Louis Stevens and I imagine they would make the connection then. Garden Square to Church is what the meeting is about and will start within 2 years. Why do you keep bringing this up like it's some gotcha discovery?

Seriously?!?
When did that happen?
I always thought this was 4 old boys at McDonalds having coffee every morning and telling golf and fishing stories, and bantering about whether the 1968 Mustange fastback or the 1969 Dodge Charger or the 1957 Chevy was the zenith of car design.

I thought arrow is more accurate. Quoting sometimes is hard to find the source.

I am defintely one of those thousands of people. I confuse them all the time. (In the area since '92). Hell, it took me nearly a decade to figure out where I was on Maynard.
