Not surprising, they are always at capacity between Christmas/New Years

-1 for FastParkRelax. I have given up on them, the cost savings aren't worth the aggravation. (Not to mention it's only about 25 cent difference per day in RDU Economy if one is concerned about saving money)

They don't have enough drivers and/or the buses are too small. About 1.5 months ago we had an issue where we parked and the driver picked us up, but then drove around the lot following every car that came in so we wasted 20 minutes just trying to get to the airport.

On our last trip about a month ago, we had issues upon return. We arrived at the pickup spot as the bus was leaving - waited 18 minutes for the next bus. That one showed up full, so I called the office and the manager said "How many people are waiting" and I told him five. About 10 minutes later another bus came by and the driver said "Oh the manager wanted me to see how many people were waiting". I said I already told him. The next bus came about 15 minutes later. We waited a good 40-45 minutes in the freezing cold to get picked up.

That was it for me...The $15 extra I paid to park in the garage last week was worth every penny.

Yeah I agree. After a long trip all I want to do is get home and not deal with more mental gymnastics than are required of me. That extra $15 is well worth the mental anguish to just go home on my terms.

Oh all of that would drive me up the wall - agree - thanks for posting that info because I take back my Fast Park endorsement! It was much better when I used it, in fact I found it a little annoying how ready they were to get me on the bus when I hadn't quite finished getting my stuff out of my car.

Agreed. Your car is covered, secure, and you’re dropped off at it, and free water bottles and paper.

Wow, thanks for sharing this real life experience. It is very helpful and good to know. My I need to travel to the airport neext week around 5am and will try my luck with scheduling an Uber. I have a ride with a friend set up when I return because it is at a decent hour. I couldnt bring myself to ask anyone (besides Uber) to drive me at 5am though!

Just make sure to schedule the UBER well in advance. Depending on where you live, the availability around 5am will likely be sparse. I live downtown and have had to catch many early morning flights, and the 6am to 8am window tends to be the busiest at RDU and it has taken 30mins to an hour to get an UBER last minute. One of my last trips I gave up on trying to find a ride and drove and parked at Central.
