Poster of Post #8 said there is a neighborhood in Morrisville called "Little India." And post #19 said that some people refer to all of Morrisville as "Little India" including some real estate agents. OP is not the one who called it that.

And for the record, I don't think it's racist to say you don't want to live in Little India, Little Italy, Little Jerusalem, etc. I like living with a mix of people of various backgrounds, but my preference wouldn't be to live in a neighborhood where most everyone is one ethnicity that I am not. Heck, I wouldn't even want to live in a neighborhood where everyone is my ethnicity.

Are you sure you want to live in North Carolina? NASCAR is like a religion in some parts of the state.

I think you might want to look at Fuquay Varina, your budget will go farther there.

DO NOT say that in Mooresville. Lots of drivers/crew live in the area.

Actually one of the reasons I moved here was because, with the universities/health care establishments/ RTP, it's quite international for a medium-sized metro area. I have lived in Europe, Asia, and Africa and welcome being around people who know something about the rest of the world.

I am a Queens/Brooklyn/Staten Island girl and I relocated to here when my younger two were in 6th and 7th grades. I don't think, coming from LI, Morrisville would be what you are looking for (I could be wrong of course). I live in Wake Forest and love it here. It is in the northeast part of Wake County. In terms of growth, it is exploding here right now, but it is all over the county as it is a great place to live. You WILL find the quality of life you seek here. I would suggest Wake Forest, North Raleigh or Cary and apex. Wake County has transplants from all over the country, so opinions are extremely subjective. I have been happy with WCPSS here and my kids have thrived here. I would be happy to answer any specific questions you have.

Also as for Moorsville, there is cancer clusters there. Not sure if that is a factor to you but it was for me.

I have not read all the posts, but you should look at the Southern Pines/Pinehurst NC areas. It’s quite rural, good services, and SP has a darling downtown with shops, restaurants and a park. Lots of young military families live there. It’s about an hour from Raleigh airport.

It’s how you said you didn’t like Indian Food, not the fact you don’t like it.
