Bashing a group as a "cult" without giving specific details or facts to back up your claims???
Smells like an attempt to squash the competition or retaliation for some sort of a grievance, and could possibly be considered damaging to a business and cross the lines of being illegal.
They are just as dangerous as any cult as they want you to believe that you have just one and only one guru for eternity to give you salvation. He and only he can introduce you to god. On your own you just can't do it.
But you're still not telling us anything about why you think they are a cult. Please be specific. Accusations are one thing. Data are another.
Meditation alone is not a cultish behavior.
Separating followers from their own family & friends, intense focus on gaining new members, a leader who does not allow questions about the beliefs, practices or their authority,.. there are many other characteristics of cults.
