Seems pretty clear to me, but alas I cannot edit it.

I believe that's 3 days this week that there have been lockdowns at WCPSS schools.

I think lockdowns have been much more frequent this year in WCPSS, but just anecdotal. I don't have stats.

I recall at least one here in WF (Heritage MS a couple of years ago when some jackass meant to call in a threat to Lake Forest Academy in IL and got Wake Forest NC instead...Ls and Ws....tricky tricky!)

It was only a matter of time until it came here too. The naive in me puts this in a similar boat to the opioid stuff.

Middle Class Americans didn't care about ODs until it started killing "their" middle class kids (watch the documentary called Cape Cod, U.S.A. for more on this). If it was killing kids "over there" who cared.

Maybe if middle class districts all over the country started facing this, people would demand actual solutions. And no, Paul Blartt Mall Cop isn't a solution.

I think there's more to many of these than just called in threats. Actual weapons, discharged firearms, etc.

Not sure if this is your point, but are you comparing school resource officers to mall security?
