What does everyone think about taking an Uber from our hotel to the game? I had thought about it before but was concerned about being able to find the Uber after the game. I'm thinking after reading this thread it might be easier to Uber.

Just get there early. Traffic will be a mess. After the game? I have heard people complain that Uber from the Arena is a PITA, but don't know for sure. IF it IS, I would think it would only be more difficult with 57,000 people.

It will be easier for you, but you also want an Uber driver who is familiar with the venue, I would think.

If you plan to watch the Canes game on TV but still want to see what outdoor hockey is about, there are several "free" events on Monday.

The email they sent right now provides some info about the "park and ride" options. There will be a shuttle bus service from the Reddy Creek Park & Ride at 4501 Reedy Creek Road and the Cardinal/Hwy 54 Lot at 766 Chapel Hill Road

It would help if they gave the right address for the Cardinal Lot...it's 5766 Chapel Hill. There's no such 766 address.

I tried that 766, and had no clue. I posted that list to the FB Canes group, so will go correct that.

The NHL should have let the Canes handle things, tix, jerseys, etc.

Yeah, having the correct address is crucial. The lot itself doesn't show up on Google/Apple Maps or their satellite imagery since they only chopped down the woods to build the lot a year ago.

Going to be hard to keep that ice hard and not slushy in that heat.

No problem. Rain would be an issue.
WRAL says clear with a high of 55 and a low of 33 on Saturday.
Perfect.

Huge refrigeration unit will easily handle it.
