I have not, but I don't like to be cold, much to the chagrin of my daughter.

Forgot mine was set on an auto heat/AC range and it kicked on at 76 while the windows were open, but turned it off as soon as I realized. I'm gonna argue that doesn't count against me. Low 60s tonight and a high of 70 tomorrow, we'll be fine. The question is whether the heat comes back on Saturday with a high in the upper 40s. Rollercoaster, whee!!

Sunday is supposed to be high only in the 40s and cloudy/rainy. Fireplace will be on at a minimum

I think I had mine on a couple times in January.
I for sure had it on yesterday and today. I'll adjust it tomorrow if need be

Sure. Because I'm not caught up in some imaginary competition. If the thermostat gets to 78, the AC turns on. If the thermostat goes below 66, the heat turns on. The date on the calendar isn't a factor.

The thermostat got to 78 yesterday but I didn't switch on the AC. I just turned on the ceiling fans as needed and managed to survive

I save more than 15% on my bill running my A/C in the winter and my heat in the summer. I was able to use what I saved to finally purchase an that extended warranty for my car.

Living in a recently constructed home, the insulation is so remarkably effective at maintaining internal temps that unless I open doors/windows and let warmer air in, the house will remain comfortably cool for several days despite the temps outside.

It's funny how old habits die hard though. When we bought our first home in 1997 it used to be that you should avoid frequently switching between heating/cooling because it placed a strain on the system which would shorten its lifetime. Now the systems are designed to accommodate it without issue. And so I don't get why it's even a big deal anymore.
