We'll try Marcos and Jet's to see if we like them. Although it looks really good, we've tried Rosati's but weren't impressed. The picture I posted before was of Round Table thick crust pizza. It was our "go to" in CA.

Are there more than one Jets around? In North Raleigh, there is a delivery-only Jets, which I find rather mediocre. But maybe we are talking about different pizza joints.

According to their website, they have 2 locations in Raleigh and 1 location in Cary. There is a Coming Soon next to another Cary location on Ten-Ten Road.

That's not really Sicilian. That is definitely closer to Chicago deep dish. You might like Sicilian, but it doesn't have as dense of a crust.

Just saw the picture - Marco's is definitely thinner than that so it may not be what you're looking for.

Yes, I don't think we like Sicilian. It seemed too airy and soft like eating wonder bread. We like it more dense.

Try J&S pizza in Apex. I know you said you don't think you like Sicilian but they sell it by the slice so at least you can try a slice and then you're only out a few bucks if you don't like it.

Mezza Luna is usually pretty good.
I was surprised by Pizzeria Veritas (NY style) tho.

Frozen - Motor City Pizza I've found at Costco and Walmart is thick like garlic bread.....and a lot cheaper at about 88.432% the quality of restaurant-cooked pies....just say'n. Throw some extra toppings on it.
That pizza is unreal. I generally am not a fan of frozen pizza PERIODT....but that Detroit Style Motor City (which they also have at Target) is delicious. Buttery/crispy crust and cheese/sauce that don't taste like simple syrup and disappointment.

Also agree that Marcos crust sounds similar to what OP is asking for.

LOL. That reminded me of when Ralph Wiggum said, "This tastes like Grandma."

Salvios thick crust (Square pizza, Mama's Pizza, Sicillian Pizza) is very solid.

Also, Jet's is Detroit Pizza. Not my think per-se, but they are thick and square too.

^^Salvios usually has some thick slices on display if you want to try it before you buy a whole one. Come at lunch for the best selection.

(Roma's in DT Cary used to have exactly what you're asking. They closed. I still like Salvios better anyway.)

BTW, intersection of Cary Pkwy and Old Apex, food lion plaza (called Parkway Point)
