My husband & I have lived in 6 US states. We currently need to move for lack of work and so I am researching yet again a new city/town to move to...and we never move near our families. We move to places where we do not know anyone and get involved in a volunteer program and meet people. Clubs are good fun to join (just check the yellow pages of a city/town).

I enjoyed the positive responses too. It is nice to know that people can have an opinion and a person is not attacked for it. That tells me people in NC are kind and decent people.

I too wish these folks a good move and success.
