Can anyone suggest a place to hold a meeting (approximately 4 hours long)? It will be four people who will need some room to spread out. I'm thinking maybe the food court at Southpoint, but they are open to any suggestions.
anywhere near RTP and 15 mile radius. It's very casual, these guys just need to get out of the office and hammer out some office business. They work together every day, it's not a client meeting or anything like that. I was steering away from restaraunts b/c of the four hour expected length of the meeting. The last meeting was at Gugelhof in Durham which worked well, they just like a change in scenery each time.
Panera Bread is pretty good at Southpoint, although I'd suggest starting it after the lunch rush (or early in the morning).
Open Eye Cafe in Carrboro is probably a bit far and maybe a bit too eclectic for your group, but you could work there.
The Neomonde Bakery in Morrisville might be a good location as well. That's close to RTP and is a pretty friendly and comfortable environment. It's never been overly busy when I've been there.
All of the these places have free WiFi if that's an issue.
Across the street from Southpoint - the plaza w/Ted Montana's Steak House. The booths are large or you could get a table. It's pretty quiet there in the afternoon so I don't think they'd mind if you were there for 4 hours.

Have you seen the American Express tv advert when someone tries to book a flight to San Francisco and presents a cartoon feature credit card? the food court are Southpoint would generate as much ridicule as that advert if it is a serious business meeting. Have you considered meeting in the lobby of a hotel such as the Sheraton Imperial which I would suggest is more appropriate or a business meeting and is situated in the midst of RTP and has sufficient space to break out if necessary and has all the requisites that most business people require for wifi and refreshments
