I'm impatient. I know this.
Still the same setup when I flew Southwest last week. Fortunately, the lines weren't long when I went through, but there was still some chaos of agents trying to point people in the right direction after their carry-on items were on the belt...PreCheck people were using one scanner, regular folks another one, and several wheelchair users unclear about what they were supposed to do and where they were supposed to go, all from the same x-ray lines.

When I flew out last month there was not a line for priority members, only the standard line for non-clear non-pre check.

I have priority with Delta and TSA PreCheck. In my experience, airports with priority security (RDU is not one of them) you just get routed to the front of the regular security line. You still have to take off shoes, etc. Its really only meant for travelers who don't have PreCheck, because it almost always better to use the PreCheck line.

If they don't, then Delta probably shouldn't advertise RDU as having it for Sky Priority passengers during peak times.

Many times what i'm finding is that it takes longer to get through the TSA Pre-check line at RDU than it does the regular lines. It's worse than many other airports and I have flown through most of them.

The great news is that if you get it for free, you can pick which line you want to go through.

BWI pre check wait time can be double that of regular lines

Even if the Pre-check line is somewhat longer, it's still worth it not having to remove laptops, shoes, etc.

I have Global Entry and Pre-check comes with that.

It barely makes a difference at RDU as security is generally quick and they don't require shoes and laptops (at least the last time I flew without without pre-check about a year ago) ; but on the return flight home from a larger airport (looking at you MIA and LAS)...it's night and day.
