I know Duke has a Hospital, and I think UNC, how do they compare to Wakemed(?). I would like to find a nice neighborhood near one of the major hospitals. How is Wakemed in Cary? Mostly we would like to be close to hospital with emergency facility even if it isn't our main hospital. Preferably no more than 10 minutes away. We are looking to spend in the $550,000 range, any neighborhood suggestions. Schools are not an issue as our kids are in college and past. Thanks for input.

In Cary, you should consider Lochmere, Wimbledon, MacGregor Downs and MacGregor West, Normandie, and Regency to be close to Western Wake Med.

Have you considered Rex Hospital?
You would find several very desirable neighborhoods in W Raleigh near Rex that offer nice options in your price range.
Arden Forest, Avallon, and others.
French Woods, Inman Park, and Umstead Forest may be within 10 minutes, too.
