Snow was on the ground from the latter 2/3 of January thru the 2nd week in February that winter just from that one storm. We also had a 4 inch snowfall and a 2 inch snowfall in the week before that. I believe the total snowfal that year was around 30 inches....that's 5 more inches than the average annual snowfal in New York City.

I don't think anyone believes that it is always warm 24/7. I think that if you are from interior New England, then what we had today feels pretty warm for winter. Today was very pleasant in the afternoon, with a coat on. When the sun is shining, it really warms you up. In interior New England, the daytime high is often much lower than the overnight lows we are having this week and then you add in howling winds & gray skies. It's pure hell. The chilly weather here is easy to take compared to that. I just wish it would have waited until winter time to come.

I'm sorry dude, but no matter what part of the country one comes from, this weather is down right cold.

Again, a matter of opinion. Today was in the 40's, but I thought the afternoon was delightful......with an unzipped coat. I saw other people with hats, gloves and scarfs and thought it was funny. Now if it was windy or cloudy, it would not have been comfortable. I still prefer 75 to 95, but I also like 4 seasons.

Charlotte got down to 13 degrees on Saturday, which is cold anywhere south of the Arctic Circle for mid November.

I feel snow storms this year.
