"A" decade? Where do you live that it was under a buck in the last 10 years - Nepal? I haven't seen it that cheap in more like 2 or 3 decades.
In St. Louis, where I lived from 1998-2001, it was under $1 here and there during that time. I remember clearly one day going to get gas and it was $.69 per gallon; I can't remember if that was a special promotion or something, but I'm pretty certain it was legitimately under $1 per gallon for a time.
I see that gasoline is now selling for $1.32 in Zebulon. I have being seeing in the news that it may go under $1.00 a gallon. The Triangle is always a little higher than the surrounding towns. I wonder if we will see it 90 something cents here. It would seem like a flashback in time.
I remember seeing it for $.69 a gallon exactly 10 years ago (December 1998) off of I-95 in GA. We needed gas and we figured we'd just wait until we cross the state line into FLA. Bad idea!! We stopped once in FLA and you could just imagine the horror on our faces when reg. unleaded was going for $1.25
Oh no say it was not so! The horror the outrage the take and shove it right up your gas.......tank that is!!!!
Truly the most humorous thread in quite some time. Shakespeares, the lot of you!
Bilirubin, your reminiscent humor is matched in quality only by your unusual choice of screen names.
I say we all go crazy and drive like we're on the Autobahn... this is sure to be a limited-time-only reprieve.
