Hi Sfalady, I am wondering what salon you go to. I really would like to find a new hairdresser.
Thanks
I found this very recent article about a Domi salon in Raleigh.

My husband and I are NYricans and only met three people that were Dominican/Puerto Rican. There is def not a large population. (there are a lot of Mexicans though)
There are hardly any Dominicans here. I have lived here almost 3 years and only met less than 10. I would say do not move here because it will be a huge culture shock.

Agreed! Def a HUGE culture shock for us. But we bring the flava down here when our families come and visit. LOL. But we do miss the food, music & mixture!
Compare Foods in Zebulon is owned by a Dominican couple. They used to be neighbors of ours several years ago. We also had another Dominican family living nearby as well.
The PR'sAnd the Dominicans gather once a month (on different nights) at the Cuban restaurant, The Havana Grill, in Cary. Today was the PR get together. Great way to meet others.
i live in morrisville and ive only met 1 dominican couple and that was on the road while i was driving, spoted the dominican flag and said hello, next day i go to walmart on chapel hill rd (54) and saw them shopping, spoke to them for like about an hour and ended having dinner at there apartment, nice to see your own people and share your culture.
