We stopped by yesterday at about 4pm. No shopping carts and a few empty places on shelves but employees are great about checking if there's anything in the back. The lines wrapped along the registers and then down the aisles. We parked the cart in a line and my DH and I took turns going and getting what we needed and placing them in the cart. There was no way to get the carts through the aisles.

Nice store, but still not as nice as the ones found in CA. They are phenomenal!! And they have the REAL Two-Buck Chuck!!

I went up to Costco after all - traffic wasn't bad on Wake Forest Road (not that I really expected a big traffic jam), but the parking lot at TJ's was packed. I'm sure it'll settle down after not too long.

Thumbs up Behold! Trader Joe's in Raleigh!

My wife and I just got back from our first trip to the new Trader Joe's in Raleigh. I met a woman in line who drove all the way from Fayetteville to shop there!

Pictures from my visit to the new Trader Joe's in Raleigh

Although the lines looked long, they moved fast!

I don't understand why anyone would wait in line there, when there is one in Cary 10 minutes away.

On certain days/times the lines are really long in Cary too. I can't figure it out. Sometimes the store is nice and other times you can't move around in there.

This new trader joe's is much closer to my house in North Raleigh than the one in Cary. Besides, the lines look long but they move fast.

I'm 30min away from the store in Cary, I'm very happy to have one in my own town and that it neighbors Costco!! I'll go to the new TJ when it quiets a bit.

Because it is in Cary. I can get to this Trader Joe's in less than 10 minutes and I know it would take at least 25 to get to the one in Cary.

The one in Cary is only about 5 min. further from me than the one on Wake Forest Rd. but the major upside to the new location is that I can go to Kroger (heart Kroger!) on the corner of WF & Six Forks for my "regular" stuff, then shoot over to TJ's for my "special" stuff.
