Stupid question but I have to ask...
what do you do with the leaves the rest of the fall season?

We have a LOT of trees in our neighborhood and if we only had "suck up" twice in the fall we'd be swimming in leaves!

I know this is something menial to most people but my husband and I were thrilled to know our leaves would be picked up once a week. We never had to bag in NY and we weren't all that fond of having to start bagging.

We did see one of our new neighbors with BAGS and BAGS of leaves lining their curb last fall. I wish I would have caught them bagging, I could have saved them a LOT of work!

Where I live you can put out lawn waste (leaves, branches, etc.) once a week year-round with your regular trash. You'd have to bag your leaves, but they will take them. In Apex they came around with a vacuum type truck throughout the year - small yard waste was picked up that way. If you put out large tree limbs they'd come around with a chipper and take care of them. Very convenient really.

We rake twice. Once during the big dump of leaves and then again just after everything has fallen. They usually time the pick-ups around leaf drop cycles in the area. You can then always just bag them up any other time of year.
