The last line summed it up...you are working, so you do not have the same urgency as others do. To make an off-handed comment "long lines and crap companies: like that especially knowing the economy, could be taken as harsh. Over 1800 people showed up. Majority of these people do not have jobs. All companies in the list were hiring, so there was no harm in doing their bit in networking.
