Summer is approaching and I am wondering if people are interested in a summertime City Data meetup in the wonderfully beautiful town of Holly Springs. It would be great to have one in H.S. to be convenient for those of us in the southern part of the area. I haven't learned this area well yet, so maybe someone from the area could take the lead on setting it up. Hopefully we could have a diverse (location) crowd of people people and sit around discussing things over some drinks. Mine would be a Coke, as I don't drink alcohol though.

I will add a poll, so it will be easy to track how many will be able to attend.

Maybe the Mod can make a sticky out of this?

Ouch, HS... way too far for me. Count me out for this one, even though I mostly lurk and rarely post here anymore.

We could choose another southern town other than sweet old H.S. I just thought it would be good for some southern representation, rather than always further north. It could be a learning experience for those not used to the country. They may like it.

BTW - I LOVE your pic. The wabbit is cute.

I am serious. I think it's time that people meet face to face where we will most likely find out that we all have a lot in common. It would be nice if more people could show up this time.

I would love to come. Only thing is that I'd have to be in the area. We possibly maybe there this summer.

I think Morrisville has to be the most centrally located. And unless you're planning to have us all over to your compound, I mean, home, for bbq, iced tea, deep-fried kudzu and banjo music, we can probably find some Southern representation anywhere in the triangle.

I'd definitely consider coming, though. Especially if you have the deep-fried kudzu.
