Hi everyone!
I am leaving Raleigh at the end of the month and returning back to my hometown of Buffalo. Now before everyone starts in on me Buffalo has a wonderful area called "Elmwood ave" that I love! LOL But I am actually returning to help care for an aging parent.

Anyway I have two shih tzu's and just wanted to share with everyone some positive experiences and recommendations I have (especially for new comers)
So here they are:

About the Dog Park

I love this dog park and hope you do as well.

This is my Vet and she is just lovely and very expertise as well!

I go to a dog groomer off Newton Road and they have been very good with my dogs.

I actually havent had too many sitters with my babies over the years.
But I just checked out this place: (and it was great!) Clean, reasonably priced, theme rooms and positive energy !

I recently had my cat shaved at that groomer and, while they were VERY friendly and affordable, she caught fleas while she was there. I'd rather pay double and have her NOT catch fleas, seeing as I had to treat my cat and the entire house. Maybe it was just a fluke, but I had to put it out there.

Oh my! I am sorry that you had this experience. Actually I was taking my boys to the prior owner. (linda) She was very good.
Then I left Raleigh from Sept 2008 to March 2009 and when I returned two other women had purchased the business. I have brought my dogs twice to her and so far my experience has been positive.
I am sorry that happened to your cat though.

Oakwood and Wake Forest have nicer dogparks them Milbrook unless they've cleaned it up. It used to be nice...but last few times we were there we saw too many inattentive dog owners.

I am from Buffalo and I am leave to move to Raleigh! I am moving for health reasons, so I understand why you are coming back to help your parents.

There is a new dog park in the city. It's pretty nice. They have a separate area for little dogs. The Elmwood district is awesome, as always.

And, you'll be back just in time to see T.O. !

The mobile pet groomers are convenient. Aussie Pet Mobile is great! They come to your house in a totally equipped and self contained van.
