We paid $5000 for my daughter's braces a couple of years ago, she had them for one year. $5000 seems to be the normal price, we got a few estimates before settling with Fritz and Bovenizer in Holly Springs.
I got "regular" braces as an adult from Zaytoun. $5500 before insurance (they paid 50% up to $2500). Wife wanted Invisalign, but found a Groupon for it for $2800. After much research she jumped on it and is almost done. Insurance still covers half up to $2500 max lifetime benefit, so we should be out the door for only $1400 plus retainer costs. Not bad.
$5500 is normal cost for either Invisalign or "regular" braces from the reputable places we've consulted.
