If you are new to the area I highly recommend you catch a Bulls game this summer. The Stadium is very nice and a great place to bring the family (tickets are as cheap as $6). They also have special event nights and do things between innings like have kids run the bases. My wife and I went last year to catch the fireworks for July 4th and it was pretty cool. Definitely a great place to catch a ball game on a summer evening.

Great pics bta! Anybody know what that new building being constructed is that is shown in the background behind the "Bud Light" Sign in the 6th picture? I don't remember seeing that when I was at the stadium last season.

It's Diamond View II - another office building. First tenants are Smith Breeden Associates and KeySource Commercial Bank. It will compliment Diamond View I which is located behind right field.

There'll be a Diamond View III coming there too, along with 380 condos/apartments. Durham's new Performing Arts Center will open next year behind the ballpark, too; it will be larger than Raleigh's Progress Energy Center and will be managed by the Nederlander theatrical company, is expected to draw regional shows and will feature the American Dance Festival's summer festival.

Very interesting all the development around the ballpark. That must be what Durham planners had in mind when the built the park there. Up the road, Richmond and the Braves are still haggling over a new ballpark. Some want to put it in an area like the Bulls did, to spur business in the immediate area just east of downtown Richmond.

The Bulls have sure provided an example that it can work.
