We are moving from Mass to The Peninsula at Amberly in Cary. My children will attend North Chatham Elementary school. We will be staying at Cary Park until our house is built. Can anyone recommend a preschool close to this area for my 4 year old?
I don't know if you need a part time thing (I know some people refer to preschool as all day care - as in daycare - and preschool is generally part time a couple of days a week in the mornings). Anyhow, a friend of mine has her daughter at good hope baptist, which is close by. Most of the preschools will end at the end of may.
As far as full time day care, I don't really know, sorry! I would check out carolinaparent.com which is a magazine you can pick up (it is free) or they can send you one. They have a lot of resources online as well.
Trianglemommies.com is also a great online forum (as well as place to meet other parents for playgroup, etc) and they may have suggestions as well.
More specifically I was looking for 3 mornings a week as that is what I am used to. However, I can be very flexible. I'm just not sure how hard it is to get into preschools down there.
I am not sure about any specific preschools in that area, but check with most of the larger churches in the area. Many of them run part time preschools. Most preschools in Wake County had their sign ups this past winter (usually in Feb-March), so many are probably already full, you can get your name on the wait list as soon as possible. I put my daughter on a wait list last spring for a central Cary preschool and she got in by late summer.
I could be mistaken but I think kids r kids just opened or will be opening on Carpenter Firestation Rd near cary park. There is Carolina Kids Academy in Carpenter Village and Primrose School on Highway 55.
