My fiance and I are moving in June and have decided on Hedingham. Through renting with them you can rent to own if you purchase any house within the fred smith company locations. There is shopping very close by...and searching mcdonalds is close, pizza hut...and a whole bunch of others fast food and quality. We did a bunch of research and looked at a bunch of places and we feel Hedingham had the most to offer with the trails, fishing pond, golf course, pools, gym...did you know the gym offers free baby-sitting for like 2 hours? we were looking for 2/2 so i cant really give you other places. We found places on rent.com and then looked at their ratings on apartmentratings.com. Hope this helps.

Ooo, I heard that Hedingham isn't the best neighborhood. I could be wrong, but just giving you a heads up.

Thanks for all your reply's. It's a little overwhelming to get all this done in 4.5 weeks. I hate wasting money on rent, but, I wouldn't want to get stuck with a house in a not so nice area either.

Any other Townhome rentals in this area that are worth checking out?

Also, We're putting our belongings in a POD, Am I allowed to have this delivered to a Townhome rental?

Wink Hedingham

I live here in Hedingham for now. I have a 6 month lease and I enjoy the area .Sometimes you hear the normal sounds of children but during the hot days they are off to the pools. Neighbors have been great..I like the Townhomes because they are only 2 units each. The keep the area immaculate (sp?) I am looking for a place to live and will either just purchase a resale here or I will look into other Fred Smith homes because if you rent here and them move into a Fs development you are 1. Building equity with your rent 2. Would be able to break the lease without penalty. I don't care for his Mingo Creek Dev but I am considering his RiverWood development in Clayton , which is also on a golf course setting. The other good thing about Hedingham is that it is close to Knightdale which has changed and is growing like mad , I am only about 15 minutes from from Triange Town Center and as I find more and more short cuts that time gets less. Hedingham is very nice

My daughter is thinking of buying a townhome in this neighborhood. Is this a good place for her...any breakins or other things she should be aware of ...I guess I'm a typical Mom.

Default No complaints with Hedingham

My son has lived ther for nearly 5 years with no problems. He is currently selling his Condo after being laid off by IBM and will probably relocate back to Michigan if he gets a job here, or closer to RTP if his next job is in the Park too.

My wife and I love the area of Hedingham where his unit is located, but didn't like the areas surrounding other Hedingham Townhomes.

The development is HUGE! Casting one reputation on Hedingham is like casting an entire town with the same reputation. Different areas will appeal to different people. Search on the Raleigh Crime Data site for details on neighborhood crimes.

Hedingham's actual crime data is significantly better than the reputation on this board would have you believe.
