I saw some nice homes on the internet in fuquay at good prices but knmow nothing about the area.Is it a good place for kids?
What is the school system like, the commute time toraleigh?
Could anyone compare and contrast these areas(fuquay, apex, holly springs, garner)?
Id really like to hear about the negatives as well.

15 minutes from Raleigh. All those areas are growing so much and have beautiful areas. It just depends what you are looking for. I am an NC realtor and would love to show you the area or help you with any info you might like. I can mail, fax or email you some info just let me know. I myself live in Raleigh and love it. I moved from New England and tell you what you can't beat our weather here. Let me know if I can help you.

Default fuquay

the houses in fuquay are called bedford forest,it says on the yahoo mapquest that it takes about 39 minutes(28miles) to get to raleigh. Is traffic bad coming from the south of raleigh?

Will rush hour make it alot longer?

Do you know anything about that exact area?Is there a grocery store, video store, very close by?

I almost moved to haddon hall in 1999 which was in apex.

Instead I moved to florida. I found 7 years ago that the raleigh area was expensive. They were at that time building cookie cutter housing.

I did like Apex and being right next to cary it was alot cheaper.

Any info on the newer communities in Holly Springs / Garner/ Cary /Apex (... like Sunset Oaks, Cary Park, Magnolia at Scotts Hill, and Rand Meadows)? We are in Florida and would love some opinions on the newer builders/areas. Thanks!!

Debbie,
being a realtor maybe you can help me figure out what suburb of raleigh to move to. One of the prevoius posts say these area are mixed with impoverished areas. I am relocating to make a better life for my family ( 4 and 6) year old girls. We need to be near great flea markets that sell new merchandise. That is what my hubby does. Where is princeton NC?? You may e-mail if you like. Last time you gave me info on the state fairgrounds! I'm over whelmed!! Any info helpful! KIM

Kimbrah,

I'm sorry I don't know that much about the princeton area, only that it is inbetween Smithfield and Goldsboro. About 13 miles from Goldboro, and about 40 miles from Raleigh. A very small area. I would love to email you some info. Private message me all your info along with email, and I will try to help you out. Have a wonderful day.

Debbie

The best of those areas; Apex.

The worst; Garner. I used to live in SE Raleigh very close to the town line with Garner, and that area isn't too great.

Fuquay and holly springs aren't too bad, they are just pretty far away and seperated from the rest of the Raleigh/Cary/Apex area.
