This is the site plan for the new amphiteater. From this site plan, notice how the stage is on the West Side of the property. This means that the speakers will be directed to the Southeast and toward the convention center and the performing arts center instead of West toward the Warehouse district.

I'm confused where it says "heavy duty concrete" and the arrows are pointing at the ground. Are they paving that entire area over with concrete? I hope not, but it's hard to tell.

If you zoom in on the pdf, you'll notice that this is not a grass amphiteater. It's fully seated. you can see the individual chairs drawn on the plan. So, that would presume a concrete base for permanent attachment of the seats.
