I should probably also say that I did that with the light traps in an urban area where there wasn't much of a yard for the fleas to nest - in the suburbs or in the country where there's lots of open fields - the mice carry them - it's worse. As always with anything posted here, it's all a matter of individual experience, flukes happen and results vary.
Another note on the borax - when I first heard about using that for the fleas I also heard it also helps control cockroaches. I rarely if ever saw roaches in the house after applying the borax to the carpet - not that they weren't in the structure somewhere, possibly under the foundation crawl space, but no visible infestation in the home. We always had the cats' food sitting out, and with the heat and humidity I figured I'd be seeing them creep out frequently. But it was very rare to see any, even a month or two after applying the borax.
