I need a one way rental car on June 21st to go from Cary/Morrisville to IAD (Washington DC Dullas Airport). Most of the places i checked is coming to $ 150 or more for one way! Is there any better way? I dont want to take train as we haev two fols going and the train doesnt go to the airport. We have four international size suitcases so flight isn't good either and there are minum direct flights.

Please help!

I took a peak and couldn't anything better.

You could try poking around the individual company websites and try some regional offices instead of RDU. I just booked a one-way rental from San Fran to RDU for 10 days. Cost me $350 by using the Berkeley office, would of been over $1300 if I picked it up at SFO.

$150 does not sound too bad, as you'd pay around $150 just to check 4 bags on a flight anymore! Let us know if you find a reasonable option though!

I haven't been able to find reasonable rates for a trip I'm planning either! One-ways do tend to cost more than round-trips, though. It costs more money for me to book two one-ways than to just keep the car the entire duration of the vacation (10 days) and return it to the original location.

If you don't want to fly or take the train, that leaves rent a car, have someone take you or a bus.

I think $150 sounds reasonable, even though it would be much cheaper if you returned the car to the original location, which you can't.

I am planning a one way Aug 1-5. RDU to SYR (NY). The numbers I am getting are $105.00 to $135.00.
Avis, National, Alamo and Hertz. You might decide on your agency and then look for online coupon codes or put in AAA or AARP if you have them. Since I have 5 days to get to Syracuse, I am looking for a rate in the 80.00 per day. Compact would do. I don't know if I can bid a one way on Priceline, but that will be my final avenue if I can't do it by the agency websites.
